Investments in Infrastructure and (‘S3i’) March 2020, Sustainable Investments in and Innovation (S3i) was formally as a stand-alone business unit in the UNOPS structure, making UNOPS the first United organization able to make direct investments its own balance sheet. line with the UNOPS Strategic Plan, 2022-2025, the office will seek to enhance and accelerate the effort engaging public and private sector investors to work to scale up infrastructure investments and co-creating innovative financing options. The S3i will continue rolling out the initiative across three focus-areas: (a) affordable housing; (b) energy; and (c) health infrastructure.
