Mixed farming refers to an agricultural system in which a farmer conducts different agricultural practices together, such as combining crop cultivation with raising livestock/animals. The chief characteristic is the combination of crop farming and animal husbandry on the same farm. This is distinct from 'mixed cropping' (growing multiple crops in same field) and 'commercial farming' (cash + food crops).
