The Global Hunger Index (GHI) is designed to comprehensively measure and track hunger globally. To reflect the multidimensional nature of hunger, the GHI combines four component indicators: Undernourishment (the proportion of undernourished people as a percentage of the population), Child wasting (proportion of children under 5 who suffer from wasting), Child stunting (proportion of children under 5 who suffer from stunting), and Child mortality (mortality rate of children under the age of five). All three given indicators (undernourishment, child stunting, child mortality) are included.
